Death Valley plume agate designer gem sterling silver pendant 10/28/2018 01 - 100% hand made by me. This beautiful pendant is made in sterling silver with sturdy double textured bail and a subtle antique patina to highlight the patterned silver. The setting features an open back design to show the gorgeous back side of this large outstanding and rare American agate gem with druzy crystal vugs on both sides. Also known as Wingate Pass plume agate, the deposit is now part of a bombing range and no digging has been allowed since the 60s. Every year this highly desirable agate gets more and more expensive and more and more scarce. This stone is legendary and any rock hound worth his salt knows about it. This pendant measures a fairly large (approximately) 2&5/8th inches or 68mm from top to bottom and is hallmarked ".925" sterling silver along with my maker's mark.
