Skye Stone / Ficsher Stone designer gem cabochon 11/4/2020 01 - 45 x 25 x 4.3 mm - 37 carats - This is snake skin agate colored with copper sulfate and artificially included with iron plumes or dendrites that have a metallic copper color. This gem is my version of what is known as Ficsher Stone invented by a guy who wrote a book about treating stones with color and artificial inclusions. I tried to get it to work for over 2 years with only fleeting success. This stone is cut from one of my eventual successes. Most Fischer stones are colored with copper phosphate making them green. This is an official blue "Skye Stone" made and cut by me and these are the rare of the rare. This uniquely beautiful stone has a beautifully domed front, girdled sides and a flat beveled back all with flawless high gloss luster.
