carats - This extremely rare cerulean blue gem comes from
Bolivia many years ago and according to the source less than
100 lbs was ever found in this region with larger amounts
also found in Chile. This material is practically
unobtainable and I just got lucky to acquire a small parcel
of small stabilized rough nuggets. It is similar to
turquoise but has a very distinctive color as you can see.
This unique cabochon has a beautifully rounded dome, girdled
sides and a flat beveled back all with high gloss luster.
