Tuxedo agate double domed designer gem 5/17/2018 01 - 45 x 28 x 6.8 mm - 52 carats - This dapper dandy of a cab is made of Brazilian agate colored by soaking in sugar then acid to carbonize the sugar turning it black. The harder less porous areas stay white and the rest turns black - the effect is permanent. Strangely, it is a bit hard to find. This cabochon is cut to a well balanced paisley flame shape with a beautifully domed front and back, with girdled sides for an easy to mount and classy look.
