Blue African Pietersite designer gem 12/1/2017 01 - 49 x 18 x 3.5 mm - 24 carats - This beautiful cabochon is a rare type of swirled tigereye, found only in Africa and China. It can have three colors Red, Gold and Blue and sometimes all in one piece. It's always a pleasure to cut and yields very pretty gems. This stone is cut to a designer drop shape with a lovely low domed front, girdled sides and flat beveled back all with high gloss luster.
