Nipomo Marcasite designer gem 10/14/2017 01 - 52 x 32 x 5.7
- 81 carats - It's been more than two years since I've cut
this material but this magical golden stone from California
was one of my first lapidary loves and even with the black
mess it makes I'm always blown away by it's beauty once
finished. This outstanding stone is very likely the best
Nipomo Marcasite I've cut to date. I'm very pleased with
this cabochon in all aspects. Cut to a beautifully balanced
large designer paisley flame shape, this stone has a nicely
rounded dome, girdled sides and a flat beveled back all with
stunning metallic high gloss luster. Here is a video clip to
