Apache Chrysocolla 2/8 - 04 - SUPER EXOTIC TOP GRADE AAA+++! My last
favorite stone was sold and I think this is now, not only my favorite,
it's also the best so far... someday I might keep one of these... :)
19 x 18 x 5 mm - 12 carat - $100.00
I decided to take new
pictures of this stone. I upgraded my camera since this was
cut and it's nicer than the old pics show. I'm leaving the
old one's (last 3) for reference too.
Apache Chrysocolla is said to come from an old worked out copper mine in
Mexico, but I have also heard it comes from other copper mines as well.
Apache Chrysocolla is very hard and polishes great. It is made up of many
different minerals including Chrysocolla, Malachite, Shattuckite, Calcite,
Cuperite, Hematite, Quartz and others. It also made the front cover of Rock
and Gem magazine. This is old stock material, AND OH MY! IS IT NICE!
This is really amazing material. Very hard to come by at any
quality - the color and patterns are
exceptional. I only
have a limited supply so get it while you can.
